Faustini's Institute offers a wide array of martial arts programs to suit all ages and all ability levels. Our children's martial arts classes are for a 1-hr duration (with the exception of Little Samurais) and our adult classes are for a 1 1/2 hr duration.

Martial Arts Class Descriptions
FIMA Little Samurai Program (ages 4-5):
FIMA Little Samurai’s are introduced to basic skills that will help your child approach life with more confidence, assertiveness and enthusiasm. The basic TaeKwonDo skills of kicking, punching and blocking are introduced and taught at this level. Life skills such as manners, sharing, being patient, respecting others, and learning to control our bodies are discussed. All instruction at this level centers around the FIMA theme of “Listen and Learn” which develops and enhances your child’s ability to listen to and follow directions. Listening skills are crucial to a child’s overall development and have a direct correlation on one’s ability to learn and relate to others. The Little Samurai program is a 45 minute class and is offered on Thursday afternoon 1:00-1:45, Friday morning 9:15 - 10:00, and Saturday morning 9:30-10:15. Little Samurai’s attend class 1 time per week. Cost of the Little Samurai program is $75 per month. Dojo membership is on 3 month basis. There is a one time registration fee of $50, which includes their uniform and patches.
Children's / Young Adult MMA/Grappling Class:
Learn highly effective stand up striking techniques leading into takedowns and throws. Once on the ground, you will learn how to control and submit your opponent. Classes are designed for children 9 yrs. and older. Classes meet on Tues./Thurs. from 5 to 6pm. Cost : 6 month program, $125 per month, 3 month program, $146 per month. One time registration fee, $50. Class instructor is Gary Schulman.
FIMA Beginners Program:
FIMA beginners focus on developing strength, fitness, and technique as they learn the basic skills of TaeKwonDo. The teaching of these basic skills and techniques are strongly emphasized because once mastered, they serve as the foundation from which all advanced techniques develop. The FIMA theme of “Black Belt Excellence,” being the best that you can be in all areas of you life, is continuously addressed and reinforced. FIMA beginners attend class twice a week. Cost of the beginner program is $135 per month. Dojo membership is on a 3 month basis. There is a one time registration fee of $50, which includes their uniform and patches. Classes meet on Monday & Wednesday 3:45 pm to 4:45 pm and Tuesday &Thursday from 6:15 pm to 7:15 pm.
FIMA Future Black Belts In Training (ages 7 to 11:)
FIMA Future Black Belts continue to build upon the TaeKwonDo skills that were introduced and developed in the FIMA Beginners program. Students in this program have achieved the rank of yellow belt and above. Throughout this program, students learn basic and advanced forms, kicking and punching combinations, and self defense. At the blue belt level judo and grappling is introduced. Once the student has reached the proper maturity level, usually green belt, Jui-Jitsu is introduced. Emphasis at this program level is on the FIMA theme “Triad of Learning.” This focuses on the mental, life, and physical skills that help our young students succeed as they mature. Classes for this program are held Monday & Wednesday from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm and Tuesday & Thursday from 6:15 pm to 7:15 pm. At this level of their training, students commit to a 6-month membership program. Cost for program is $125 per month.
Students at this program level have the added option of participating in our Leadership Program. This program emphasizes the nurturing and development of skills needed to become a leader. There is an additional $30 monthly fee for this program.
Students at this level are also able to attend our Grappling class which meets on Tuesday and Thursday at 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm. This class will consist of only grappling techniques. The TaeKwonDo curriculum will not be addressed during this time period. There is an additional $50 monthly fee for this class.
FIMA Young Adult Program (ages 12 to 15):
The FIMA Young Adult Program is built upon our Future Black Belt Program. Students are introduced and taught the fundamentals of our tactical mixed martial arts system “Heiho Shin Do.” Because of their age and maturity level, our young adults are able to learn faster and proceed quicker. Once basic skills are mastered, young adults are taught kickboxing techniques, grappling, Judo, Jui-Jitsu, and weapon defenses. Emphasis at this level is placed on the FIMA “Performance Formula” and how the daily choices we make dictate the direction of our life. Classes for this program are held on Monday thru Thursday at 7:30 pm. At this level of their training, students commit to a 6-month membership program. Cost for program is $125 per month.
FIMA Adult Program (ages 16 and up):
The FIMA Adult Program focuses on teaching realistic self-defense based on our tactical mixed martial tactical arts “Heiho Shin Do.” It is not oriented for competition, and is geared towards one’s personal safety. Once basic skills are mastered, adults are taught kickboxing techniques, grappling, judo, jui-jitsu, third party protection, and weapon defenses. Once developed, this overall tactical mixed martial arts system provides you with a highly dynamic and extremely effective method of realistic self defense.
A direct result of this program is total self improvement by enhancing one’s overall physical conditioning and self-empowerment. Students will experience a dramatic difference in how they look and feel through their training at FIMA. Adult class are offered Monday & Wednesday 8:30 pm to 10:00 pm and Tuesday & Thursday 9:30 am to 11:00am. Adult membership program is for 6 months. Cost for program is $125 per month.
