On behalf of myself and the rest of the FIMA instructors, we would like to acknowledge the effort and determination that made this day possible.

Congratulations to Michael Benaquista, Edward Kang and Michael Kane

On December 6th, FIMA celebrated the promotion of three students to TaeKwonDo Black Belts. All of the candidates, Michael Benaquista, Edward Kang and Michael Kane prepared and performed well throughout all stages of their test. We at FIMA are extremely proud of their efforts, perseverance, and determination to see their goals to completion.

These boys all started at FIMA at a very young age and have continued to train diligently throughout the years. The TaeKwonDo Black Belt test is an accumulation of all the knowledge they have learned throughout the years at FIMA. They needed to demonstrate their knowledge and application of that knowledge extremely well.

Earning a black belt at FIMA means that you have the ability to pass your knowledge on to others in a precise and thorough manner. The boys all excelled at this.

On July 15, FIMA celebrated the promotion of three new Black Belts into the Heiho Shin Do Jiu-Jitsu system: Kara Ebenhack,Richard Hoeber, and Joseph Montalbano. This achievement marks their second Black Belt—the first is in the style of Tae Kwon Do. All three candidates prepared and performed well throughout all stages of their test. Preparation for this test was especially challenging due to the fact that all were high school seniors dealing with the daily pressures of student life and planning for college. With this in mind, we are extremely proud of their efforts, perseverance, and resolution to see their goals to completion. Their individual journeys go back many years...to the very beginnings of FIMA. They will be missed by all, including the many students they helped teach throughout the years. As proud as we are about earning their Black Belts, we are equally pleased at their next destinations: Kara - Ramapo College; Richard - Bloomsburg University; and Joseph - Princeton University. On behalf of all of us at FIMA, we wish them the best of luck!
