Fitness Class Descriptions
Kettlebell Fitness and Toning for Women:
Great class, great workouts, great results. Good for beginners, intermediate and advanced clients. Everyone works at their own pace. Take your overall fitness and strength to a new level. All you need is yourself, a kettlebell, a little attitude and someone to take you out of your comfort zone. Classes meet on Mon., Wed., Fri., from 9 to 10am. and Sat. from 11 to 12. Cost for 3x per week is $360, for 2x per week $240.
Kettlebell classes are designed to:
• Increase bone density
• Increase lean muscle mass
• Increase overall body strength
• Increase functional range of motion
• Improve body fat composition
• Promote a healthy lifestyle
Kettlebell Conditioning for Athletes:
This is a great program for young athletes who want to take their overall strength, power, mobility and explosiveness to an entirely new level. Kettlebells train the individual's body as a unit, muscles are not isolated, but trained as a function of mobility. They help to teach the body to respond and react as a unit.
The classes are taught by Richard Faustini. Mr. Faustini is a 3x National Olympic Weightlifting Champion, is kettlebell certified, and is also a certified speed, strength and agility trainer.
The classes meet on Tues./Thurs. from 4:15 to 5:00pm., cost for the 8 week session is $240.
Kettlebell Strength Training / MMA Fitness for Men:
This class is designed to take you overall fitness (cardio, strength, power, and flexibility) to a new level. Since everyone works at their own pace, this class addresses the needs of the beginner as well as the more conditioned athlete. The class meets on Tues./Thurs. evenings from 8:30 to 9:30 and runs on a 10 week session. Cost for the session is $240. Anyone joining this program is allowed to come to our Sat. open Kettlebell class at 11am. The program is designed to:
• Reduce body fat
• Increase lean muscle mass
• Increase overall body strength
• Increase power endurance
• Increase body mobility, balance, and flexibility
Kettlebell / Kickboxing for Men and Women:
This is our "Double K" workout designed to give you the best of both resistance and cardio conditioning. This workout is guaranteed to take you to the next level and make you burn those calories during its hour duration. What's even better is that you will continue to get a great after burn from the kettlebell, so long after you workout has ended you'll continue to burn those calories.
The classes are available on Tues./ Thurs. nights from 7:30 to 8:30 PM and on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 6:00 to 7:00 AM, and run for a 10 week session. Cost of the session is $240. The program is designed to:
• Increase bone density
• Increase lean muscle mass
• Increase overall body strength
• Increase functional range of motion & mobility
• Improve body fat composition
• Promote a healthy lifestyle
Total Body Conditioning:
This is FIMA’s flagship co-ed fitness class that has been in existence since 2002. This unique boot camp 60-minute fitness class is full circle and focuses on 4 major elements to achieve optimum health. Resistance training, cardiovascular training, flexibility and nutrition. You provide the body, FIMA provides the knowledge and motivation you need to excel and achieve your fitness goals and optimum health. Classes are held every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10 to 11 AM. The TBC program is 10 weeks long and cost $360 for 3x per week and $240 for 2x per week. Classes are taught by FIMAfitness staff.
Cardio Aerobics:
This is a straight cardio class that works in conjunction with our morning Kettlebell and TBC Boot Camp classes to enhance your overall cardio endurance. Classes include cardio kickboxing, agility drills, mobility drills, heavy rope training, and bodyweight calisthenics. The class is offered at no additional charge and is also available to any FIMA family member.
This class is taught by Lynn Brennan who is AFAA Group
Fitness Certified. Lynn is also a Certified Massage Therapist
with her own practice in Oradell, NJ.
Wellness Yoga / Pilates:
Wellness Yoga classes are offered at FIMA every Tuesday and Thursday from 7:00 to 8:00 am and from 9:30 to 10:30 am. The classes are taught by Nicole Faustini, yoga and Pilates certified. Nicole also teaches private lessons on the pilates reformer. A great workout for developing strength and flexibility. The reformer is also great for rehabilitative work.
Classes may be purchased in packets of 5, 10, or 20 classes. Yoga has many benefits which include:

Zumba® is a popular dance fitness workout set to Latin and international music that's fun, easy to follow and very effective at burning calories and improving your overall fitness! Our new Zumba class is held Sundays at 11:30AM.
